A New Hallelujah

Why do so many Christians find it inspiring to hear the same things over and over again? I'm not judging- by all means, be inspired! But for me, hearing people feed me advice that is nearly a word-for-word repetition of the book of Romans is frustrating. Not because I don't love the Word, but because I want to hear about people's actual experiences with God! I love to read my Bible, and I do so diligently (or I try), but I want to hear MORE. Think about it: every word in the Bible is God-breathed, but it is also written by human hands. We all have the ability to contribute! We all have the ability to learn new aspects of His love, generosity, discipline, and to share that with the world. We were made to experience Him. If that wasn't true, the Bible would be a cruel tease. But it's not a cruel tease, it's the truth, and I want to learn wider expanses of it for myself. Our Truth isn't something we can memorize, and though the Lord is static in who He is, our knowledge of Him is very dynamic and we can always gain new perspectives. The great news is that the more we learn about Him, the better our perspectives will be, and the more beautifully we will see Him. If everyone in the world took one hour to truly discover more about our Creator, we would have over 6 BILLION people singing His praises! God is way bigger than any human can fathom, so why on Earth can I not find new words to describe NEW things? I want some raw discipleship, not laced with frilly words and flowery depictions of THE ONLY THING IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE THAT MATTERS.
